Monday pics of the day

(Above:Rowanjoy Apollo Skirt. Part of the Made to Measure range.)
(Above: Rowanjoy Daggerdress. Available instore.)

It's the start of the week and I am full of the cold but that's not going to stop a little blog here and there. This week we will be updating you on the Nonchalant launch and introducing you to Lara our new blogger correspondent, who you will be hearing a lot more from in the Godiva blog and we are very pleased to have her on board.

Today however I will introduce again to photographer Christina Carr Caso, http://www.cristinacarracasophotography.com/, who has began to work with Godiva and with some model test shots styled in some hand picked pieces from the showroom.
Today's pics of the day feature model Red Drummond from Model team and the clothing is by Rowanjoy! Both dress and Apollo high-waisted pencil skirt are still available and remember the Apollo skirt is now part of the Made to Measure range! So if still looking for that something to wear in the Christmas party season this skirt is a fantastic easy to wear option in any colour and fabric combination you want to stand out from the crowd in!

Start your Christmas wishes early!

Backstage snaps

Here are some backstage snaps of last night shows. Fi and I had a lot of fun working together and caught up with other shop friends and drank maybe a little too much wine. Note to self white wine+empty stomach= confusion over running order and makes backstage work at more challenging. Have a good weekend! x

Be Inspired Fashion Show

I have previously mentioned in the blog yesterday that we are taking party in a fashion show to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Charity tonight at the Assembly rooms. It is a very exciting night for Fifi who will be showcasing some of here best selling shift dresses and a new design that even I have not seen yet. She has been busy on the sewing machine for the last 24hrs.
I promise to get snap happy with ym camera for those who wil miss the show and post them up for you tomorrow. This show we have decided to mix up the designers to show off the vast array of designs and designers we currently have in store. In the mix will be those super soft leather jackets by Nonchalant, Faye hackers silk & merino wool dresses, Rowanjoy's skirts and capes, silk underwear by Littlesisterlucy and recent ECA graduate Louise Holsgrove. If your attending the show you are in for a treat.
Hope to see you there!
The photo is a quick snap and sneak preview of last nights fittings I did in preparation for the show. In the pic, Nonchalant Leather Jacket and Fifi shift with hand illustrated design by Kate Mackay.

Vintage photoshoot

For years we have worked along with Stolen Model Agency lending clothes for fashion shows and photoshoots. We are always happy to lend clothing for photographers to do test shoot for the models in return for some pretty pics of our clothing, vintage or designer, which we can then use for little bits of PR and for you to see our lovely things . These two recently shot classic pictures were taken recently using some of our latest hand picked vintage modelled by Athene from Stolen and photographer Christina Carra Caso.

Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis this Thursday

For those who love a good fashion show we are taking part in a charity show this Thursday 28th October, at the Assembly Rooms on George Street to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
We will be showcasing some of our best A/W collections along with other independent stores, such as Goodstead, Kakao by K, Covet and 21st Century Kilts.
The show doors open at 7pm and starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are £15 and all profits go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Which I think you will a greed is a very worthy cause.
