Anna Burnett Bags at Godiva
It's so good to get yet another Scottish designer into the showroom. Anna Burnett graduated from the ECA 2008 and we are very pleased to now stock her work. Introducing first her hand printed and constructed leather bags and soon to stock her womenwear, we are really liking the industrial feel to these handbags, well constructed and each one an unique piece we look forward to some more pieces. Here are some examples or her bags in store now and some of her graduate collection on the catwalk at Graduate week.

ECA Ring Round the Moon
Finally my friends and I, were also especially impressed by the work the 3rd year costume created for Ring Round the Moon. Probably being bias for all things vintage the 50's inspired costumes were a wonderful celebration of a fantastic chic era. Incorprating
some printed textiles also by 3rd years the collaboration was a great way to end the show- another successful year for the ECA and now looking forward to the degree show!

MORE ECA HIGHLIGHTS
It is always difficult after the ECA show to remember everything you see as your senses are overloaded with the array of designs, colours, textiles and so many collections!
However this graduate performance costume really stuck in my mind- I loved this work from Peggy Jones, especially the fruit lady from The Mirrormask - she came on the catwalk on all her volume and layers and knitting down the catwalk. Gorgeous.
MY HIGHLIGHTS OF ECA FAHION SHOW 2009
Can't believe it's that time of year again already! The well respected and one of the fashion highlights of the year, the ECA graduate fashion show kicked off with 3 shows yesterday and will run until Friday night's finale prize giving as always. This year was yet another triumph and celebration of the emerging scottish designers from ECA. I of course forgot my camera damnit! but used my phone so here are some of grainy shots of my top picks- performance costume is always my favorite and looking forward to to the degree show to peruse the costume in greater detail.
The mirrored garments was 3rd year performance costume. The costumes showed textural possibilities of a single fabric, mirrored PVC.
