The clocks have gone back and it's officially moving into Winter, I don't enjoy the weather but I do really enjoy Winter fashion.

A few years ago some of you may remember an independent label here called OPPS from Brighton created by off-beat designer Emily Bosence. Her collection was a massive success in store,  especially her reversible Tweed and African print Cape. After a few years of running her own label out of Brighton Emily was headhunted by Irregular Choice and is now the head designer of their  clothing range which launched for the first time this Autumn!
Emily kindly gave us the heads up and offered the brand new range to us here at Godiva to which we did not hesitate and very excited to have her new version of the cowl neck Cape exclusively for Irregular Choice back in store now.  It's amazing and we think you will agree.
I have 5 in store this weekend so its first come first serve!

Sneak peak of Thursday 4th A/W showcase party!

It seems that there are many of the best independent shop is in Edinburgh feeling the force of the 4th!
This Thursday, like many others, we are hosting a customer evening shop party to showcase all the new great Autumn/Winter collections coming in and our handpicked vintage garments and accessories.

We invite you all to come down to the store at 9 West Port between 5:30pm-8:30pm to check out all our new lovely things and of course have a drink!

We are offering a 10% discount off all purchases so there is even more reason to pop into the shop!

We are very excited and looking forward to the evening not only because we have not hosting one since before summer but also because of the really great things we have coming in!

We have full jersey collection from fairtrade local label Johari, a very colourful as always collection from Rowanjoy, silk and wool blend scarves from the best selling label of the summer Red Brick and of course Mollie Brown fans should definitely be putting this date in their diaries as not only is she bringing in a new collection but will also be attending, along with lots of other designers.

Buy while you can, Hot Picks this week

As we now have the online store it's very exciting for us that you can see more of what we offer with actually having to come on store. Though with the nature of Godiva, most things are exclusively one-off or limited edition, which does mean sometimes you have to buy it when you see and love it as you won't see it again!
This week I have picked out some great pieces off the online store that have been top selling designers and their creations. Some are even in the clearance so it really is a case of buy while you can!

Shiny new shopping website

It's been quite on the blog front as we have been very busy building a new shiny website for you all to shop on, with this launch we have also been working hard redesigning the Godiva logo (pictured above) we do hope you love it, we do.
So those who loved the old site, I am sorry to say it's gone but our new site is reminiscent of it's quirky off-beat individual style and there are 100's of hand picked products from the store available now to buy online so we think you will agree, our change and progress is looking bright for the future of Godiva.
We are still in the beginning stages of this site and there might still be the odd hitch here and there, we are slowly working these out but please do have a browse through and let us know what you think.

We are working on all our great Autumn/Winter labels coming into the store soon and of course online so please do follow us on facebook and of course twitter  and keep checking the store for new arrivals such as some favorites like Johari, Rowanjoy, Mollie Brown and some new faces that we are keeping to ourselves right now, but be assured you won't be disappointed :)
