Go-reborn canvas creation - Matthew Swan

It's been a long time since we did the Go-reborn collective in August. For those who never popped down to visit it here is the website to jog your memory, http://www.go-reborn.co.uk/

We invited local artist and illustrators to come down and invited them to work on a 2 m by 2m canvas each. It was a fantastic opportunity for the artists to display their talent and be part of this local pop-up guerilla collective.
Their only brief was that the Godiva team of designers would be abstracting the final piece into something else and here is the first installment of what we have decided to do with Matt Swan's illustration canvas! Each doll is stuff with pillow stuffing and fabric cut offs, and backed with tartan tweed/wool.
Matt is in his final year at ECA and spent 3 days completing this work at the go-reborn studio space.

These dolls would look great on and sofa, bed, chair, mantle or keeping just you company. Add some individuality to your home and support talented designers. They will make the perfect Christmas present for the discerning and determinedly different. Each doll also come wrapped with an individual information card.

Let us knw what you think!

EKA!!

I have been stocking Gilly Seagraves fairtrade knitwear label EKA since she began many year ago & when Godiva was just beginning it's relationship with new new designers at number 54 west port. It has been really wonderful watching Eka grow in success and see her designs evolve. From 1920's inspired cloche hats, headbands, ribbons, old skool mitts with string. Her design are stylish, classic in a range of striking colours and great for the cold winter days! This year is no exception and once again Gilly has added a new menwear design to her portfolio. The first box has arrived this morning and is in store now! Combat the the cold in style and add them to your Christmas list!

The Sunday Herald October & November

Thanks to the great styling work of Carrie McAdam who assisted Eva Arrighi on these 2 shoots for the last couple of weekend for the The Sunday Herald Godiva has once again dominated the features.
A favourite of mine and of many people due to the number of phone calls I have had since Sunday, is the grey suit with matching bag and hat. These vintage pieces were acquired from the lovely Mrs Tutton collection. Thank god for vintage horders. I love the fact it came with the matching accessories, really don't see enough of that nowadays!!
