Lady Jukes- jack sparrow meets damien hirst?

Every few days like a child at Christmas I get excited when the postman, like Santa, delivers parcels full of design treats. Today was no exception when I opened up the latest instalment. Continuing on from the forever popular and brilliant Jukes & Proops label, I would like to introduce Lady Jukes, one half of the successful duo, who has branched off into her own tee designing. These are no ordinary tees. Skull pirates I've called them, a kind of Jack Sparrow meets Damien Hirst. With leather fringing, pearl, button and dimonte embellishments each tee has it's own unique character.
A triumph for the new Lady Jukes I think. The would look great with pair of forever faithful skinny jeans or the still in fashion leggings from the summer.

VINTAGE SHOOT & VINTAGE SALE

Back in May we did a really fun vintage shoot with models James and Abby from Edinburgh's Stolen Agency. Meghan Gibion the photographer, who I have loved doing the majority of my photoshoots with this year, has finally dropped off the the images. I am pleased with the results and in good time as we can advertise the half price vintage sale right now which is running until the end of this week only! So come grab an autumn/winter bargain while you can!

Student Press stuff

The new Autumn/Winter term has started for of those students out there. Godiva always gets a wee mention int he shopping guides so here is the latest press installment from The List. Once again the photo is the work of Meghan Gibion whom Godiva has done some great vintage photoshoots and this photo seems to be used over and over again. Well done Meghan!
Additionally there is a new independent art magazine from Edinburgh University, named Yeller Zine who have kindly featured Godiva as well, so I thought to give it a wee mention in the blog today. This is generally been all I have been able to achieved today - it's been one of those Mondays! left mobile at home, locked myself out of shop this afternoon! looking forward to Tuesday.x

CUT IT- KNITWEAR A/W

Last year a lovely lady called Teressa Dowd came to me with a collection of jumpers that she had cleverly and creatively reworked from different wools, cashmere, silk prints. Her unique work sold out and I am very please to announced the returned of her now established label - CUT IT.
Here are a few preview photos of the new additions to the showroom. The one I am wearing in the photo I feel in love with instantly and just bought!
